I didn't do very well taking tummy pics, but I wanted to document these to look back on. With Emery I gained so so much weight, so I tried to be more careful this time around. Right now I'm 39 weeks, and I've gained 30 pounds, which is 20 lbs less than I gained with Em! I'm hoping this little guy will get here any day!!! Corey keeps telling him he needs to come before this next weekend because it's state wrestling for his little brother, Jade, and he is seriously dying to go.... haha.

I cannot believe my little Emerz is 3! Time goes by way too fast. She had two little parties. The first was with family, and the second was with her little prince and princess friends.

I really wanted to do better with blogging...so far I'm failing. Anyways, here are some things from last last year that I wanted to post but never got around to it.

We had a fun Halloween. We carved pumpkins, had friends over for play dates and crafts. Emery loved her costume. I kept it pretty simple this year. She always wanted us to add a wicked witch into her "once upon a time" stories at night, so I decided to make her a nice witch. I just made the tutu and added some extra ribbon and a flower to the hat.

On Halloween we went to the Trunk-or-treat at our church. Then we went to show G & G Green and Aunt Tehya her costume...

From there we went to Rigby to go trick-or-treating with Em's cousin Datlton, who was the cutest chicken ever!

We ended the night at G & G Klingler's to play with some cousins. My mom always has homemade bread and a hot bowl of chili ready for us when we get there!

We had a great 5 months in Texas, but it feels soooo good to be back in Idaho!! We can actually go outside and play all day long!! Emery has been in LOVE --Rolling around in the green, soft, ant-free grass, and digging in dirt where ever she can find it. Her knew thing is collecting rocks. I find them all over my house! haha (And our car.) Anyways, we are loving being home. Corey is back in school, doing pretty well, and I have been busy painting rooms, canning with my mom, and chasin' Emerz around. Oh yeah and preparing for our little man to get here the end of Feb.! Yes that's right, I am about 20 weeks pregnant and we are having a BOY!!! It's been a bitter sweet road getting to this point but we feel so blessed, and cannot wait for Em to have a little brother. She is so excited to be a big sister. She has always been so fascinated with babies, so hopefully the transition will go over well. Sorry for the overload of Pics!!

Corey is such an awesome dad. Emery takes advantage of every second she gets to spend with him. She loves swimming with him at the pool, and going to the car wash, and getting suckers at the gas station with him. It's so crazy how much she is like her daddy. (especially like how I hear he was when he was young!) She is so full of energy, and can hardly focus her attention on one thing for more than 5 minutes. I know that one day all that energy will be focused on something amazing. She will be able to achieve great things.

We had fun making daddy some cards...and we got daddy a camping chair! haha classic Dad's day gift.

4th of July Happenings

I love the 4th of July. It's one of my favorite holidays. Emery and her friends made a few crafts for the fun occasion. We went to the parade where Em enjoyed waving and gathering up the candy that was tossed. Later that night we had a BBQ with friends from the office. It was a fun filled night!

So I'm finally admitting that i am the world's worst blogger! ( as you can see.) But I do a lot better when we are away from friends & family so they can see what we are up to. We are once again selling in Texas. Austin area, same as last year. So far things have been really great. Its kinda nice knowing where things are and whats going on. April was so HOT! In the mid and high 90's! It was the hottest April in 156 years! wow. The last couple days have been super nice though. perfect weather. We even had a day this week where it was colder here than in Idaho! Ha. Imagine that. Anyways, other than allergies being EXTREMELY awful we are doing well.

Easter was super fun. On Saturday we went to a near by park with some of the girls and their kids. We took a ride on a little train, got a treat bag for finding an egg, and got to see the Easter BunnY! Em was excited but then when it was her turn she got a little hesitant, so she asked her friend Emrie to come with her. So cute.

When we got home she got to decorate eggs! Em loved it. She concentrated the whole time. Kylee and Keisha came over and also decorated some sugar cookies(that was a little easier...and less of a mess!) On Sunday we had a little easter egg hunt and Em found her basket the Easter bunny hid for her. She got some sidewalk chalk and bubbles to play with on our balcony, since she's out there like all day long!

Noelle was nice enough to snap some super cute pictures of our girls in their Easter outfits. Emery's facial expressions make me laugh. She'll never sit still and look directly at the camera and when she finally does she gives a huge fake cheeseball smile. Haha. These capture her personality for sure.

Wow time flies by so fast. Corey and I are officially the parents of a two year old! And an amazing one at that;) Here are...just a few;) pics of Emery's "Happy Day!" as she called it.

She loves Elmo so it wasn't hard to think of a theme. It was lots of fun to make this cake, even though one of his eyes is buggin out! haha I also got to make a birthday banner that can be used over and over again. We had a little family party on Sunday. She was a little clueless about what was goin on but she knew everyone was there for her. She got lots of fun stuff and loved every bit of it. Thanks for all who could make it!!

The day before her actual birthday I took her to arctic circle where we had a little, and I do mean little, party for her. She got to have cupcakes, play on the slides, and have one of her best friends, Emrie, to do it with! And thanks to Noelle for snapping some pics for me;) I seriously want a nicer camera!!

This was so precious. Right in the middle of playing, for some reason she felt like praying! "Heavly Fader" she starts. She does pretty well and makes sure to bless everyone in the family and even people she had just met that day. I can't get enough of her adorableness...as i'm sure every parent feels about their own children. Happy Birthday baby girl. We love you!

Fall Fun

Oh my oh my. Blogging almost seems like more of a task these days...hence the reason my last post was like 4 months ago. whoops! But I know that there are a lot of family and friends that like to keep up on what we're up to (especially Emerz) since they don't get to see us very often, so I will try to do a little better. This fall has been so much fun. Nice weather and lots of activities with family and friends. I must say that fall is definitely my favorite season of all. This year for family night we decided to start the tradition of carving pumpkins! I honestly haven't carved one since I was like 1o or something...so sad. Its fun to do as a family and makes for some fun Halloween decor! Corey got into it and Emery loved taking out the slimy seeds and then putting them back into the pumpkin. It seriously kept her busy for like an hour! Amazing...nothing every keeps this girl busy for even 10 mins! I realized i didn't get a picture with them all lit up...we had company that night so we finished in a rush and then I forgot to do it later. I was about to go out last night and take one last pic of them but i remember that em had been playing with them and she kicked them off of the stairs and now....lets just say they don't look so grand.

Em has also enjoy helping mommy rake up the leaves from our gigantic tree. She also loved scattering back out once I had finally gathered them all up. Stinker.

This Halloween I was a little out of sorts and just not on top of the costumes. Luckily my mother is great at sewing so she imitated a little Indian princess costume I found online. So Em was "potahanas". And i must say she is the most adorable little thing when she tries to say that word! I already had the boots and we cut up an old coon hat my mom had from when my brothers were little for the fur around the top. Throw on an old shell necklace i made years and years ago...(i was looking for something like elk teeth or a bear claw but my dad reminded me that they also gathered shells...so that was easier!) Thanks mom for the last min costume. It looked awesome!

She loved trunk or treating at our church and didn't really have a clue what was going on. All she knew was that she was getting treats and saying thank you about every 2 seconds!

Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful fathers out there! Today when Emery saw Daddy putting on his tie she decided that she needed one too. It was cute to see her look at her daddy and try to copy him and then take his hand, lead him to the door, and say "chuch!" (Church:)

Before all that happened, we let Daddy sleep in since church isn't till 11 and he had to take some friends to the airport at 4am! Once he woke up we started the morning off with one of Daddy's favorite breakfasts, fried eggs, rice, and smoked sausage. He had a Polynesian companion who made it for him on his mission and ever since then he has requested it on many occasions.

After church we came home and Daddy got to find his gifts we made for him.

He loved his homemade card with Em's pink hand prints and messages from both Emery and mommy.

We made him a candy bar poster! I haven't made one in years. I wanted to do something that she could help with and she did just that! Emery had fun helping and loved drawing and coloring on the poster before we put everything on it. I also got just a simple frame and added some of my favorite pics of him and Emery. He was excited and so was emery when he started diggin in to some of the treats! "Nummy nummy nummy!"

We had a great lunch at TGI Fridays down the street and then topped it off with Kawaii's Hawaiian Shaved ice! Basically like sno shack only the ice is shaved much finer. It was so refreshing on a hot day like today!! I always feel so bad for those poor boys out on the doors in this heat:(

Later in the day we had some friends drop off a special fathers day treat for Corey. Isn't this so cute! The fries are little cookies and the hamburger is yummy cake and frosting! What a clever idea! Thanks Jenna and Cassie!

Overall it was just a chillaxin day. I love my hubby more than anything and he is such a great father to our little Emerz. Thanks for being the hard worker you are hun, and providing the way you do for us. We couldn't ask for a better life together! WE LOVE YOU!

Corey & Calene Forever

It's been a couple weeks, but it's time to play catch up once again! Corey and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on the 19th. It's funny because sometimes I think of that 3 years as how long we've known each other...but in reality we've known each other WAY longer than that!! We started dating when I was 17, a junior in high school. (Ok,the summer of 2002-before my junior year, when I was 16, if ya wanna count the "hangin out" faze...ha ha) His youngest brother , Jade, was around 7 years old and his little sis, Tehya, was about 3. Now they are 15 and 11!! It's so crazy when I think of it that way. Anyways, 8 years is a long time....but I know that if we are doing what we are supposed to and living the way our Father in Heaven would have us live, we will be blessed to have each other for all eternity.:)

To celebrate we got the night off from Emery and were able to steal a few hours away for dinner at The Olive Garden...YUM! and ice cream:) It kinda stinks to have our anniversary in the middle of selling in the summer because he can't get the day or even weekend off, we don't have time to go anywhere. So dinner is pretty much it! But we enjoyed every bit of our time together and we are trying to make a trip to Sea World in San Antonio some time so we'll count that! (Ok, so he doesn't know that this is happening, but sorry babe its GOING to happen!:)

Alright, next up......the ZOO!!! Oh how Emery loved the zoo. Her eyes were wide the whole time, pointing and saying "whasat whasat?" It was cute. We went with Noelle and her little Emrie. We saw gigantic turtles, giraffes, lions, tigers, orangutans, crocodiles, Rhinos, different fish and birds.....Hmmmm what else!?

It was definitely a hot day but with lots of sunscreen for the kids and lots of water with a few cool treats we made it through alive!

Do you think she is ready for a little brother or sister???? So Emerz loves babies. In fact it was one of her first words. Baby Zaylee, Krista's little girl, is no exception. Every time they are around each other Em just wants to hold her. The first couple times she held Zay she would get mad every time we tried to take her away and she would just hold on tighter! Its so cute seeing Em patting her little belly, giving her kisses, and trying to sing her a lullaby. It melts my heart, and each time it makes me think about having another little one...but i guess the time just isn't right yet.

I also bought Emery her first pair of sunglasses and she LOVES them. She'll put them on and go around showing everyone. Its hilarious. Its cute to hear her say it too..."glashes."

O! And can you believe how long her hair is getting? I love it. She's no longer my little baby...she's a little girl now:( We miss everyone and hope everything is going well back in Idaho!!! Love you all!

What's Up!

So I know what all of you have been thinkin..."Holy cow, Calene! Update your blog once in a while!" Yes, I know I have been slacking in that area...I just haven't had the blogging bug lately. Hopefully after this post I will keep up with it though! So lots of things have been happening lately..winter has come and gone and birthdays, Christmas, and Easter have passed. Emery is growing up so fast...she is still so much fun and a little bit more of a challenge these days with her tantrums...but when all the crying, flopping around on the floor, and kicking stops we have a sweet, smart, cutsie and VERY active little girl on our hands.

We have decided to sell security again so right now for the summer until September we are living in Round Rock, Texas, which is about 20 mins north of Austin. So far we love it here. It's a little more humid than we're used to and i guess it gets pretty hot round here. I feel bad for my husband and all the guys who have to walk around all day in it! This job is not the easiest, by any means.

Instead of driving for 26 six hour to Texas..a couple of us girls decided to shorten the trip to

about 5 hours of flying. I was really worried about how our little girls would do but things went much smoother than I had anticipated. Emery even fell asleep for an hour so that was less entertaining for us to do..

This is Emery with Noelle's little girl Emrie...She LOVES playing with her. When they get together Emery just giggles like crazy. I love it!

Emery also loves Keisha's little girl Kylee. We spent a few days at my parents house before we left and Emerz was tryin to cuddle with her before bedtime..it was making us laugh.
Kylee wasn't so sure about it and was defending herself a little bit but Emery didn't even care. She is starting to be a little more gentle with babies smaller than her.

It been a really busy couple weeks...or should I say months. First I'll start with Halloween since I'm pretty darn late;( This year my friend Noelle and I threw a Halloween party. It turnd out really cute and was really fun! I'm so glad I met her and all the Modesto ladies!! I was a nurse (quite the easy costume since my mom works at upper valley peds)... We couldn't think of anything that went together so corey (being as he is and not wanting to spend one penny on cosutmes) was a hunter cuz he already has tonz of that sfuff...and I turned him into one with a head wound so I could nurse him back to health...haha so corny!!:)

During the summer I found some really ideas for a lady bug costume and thought Emerz would look adorable as one for halloween. So mom and I got together and she helped me measure and cut...and stich....and tie...and two days latter it was finished. We made to tutu and stiched the black pom poms on it, then the wings I figured out how to do by looking on youtube...what a wonerful thing! They are made out of tights and clothes hangers..and then I sewed on the felt circles. And for the finishing touch,antennas! I knew Em wouldn't leave a head band on so I just made them with her normal clippies and the left over pom poms. She was such a cutesie bug!! It was so funny to see her tutu wave back and forth was she walked. We took her to the trunk or treat at our church and she loved it.

Ok now for the Birthday Bash! I can't believe our little cupcake is one year old!! We had family over on her birthday for a little party and she got lots of great gifts. We also had some friends over on Sunday, like her little friends Emrie, Jason, and Kylee...thank you everyone for coming and for all the presents! She was in great need of some toys and books and she definitely got spoiled ;) I attempted to make a giant cupcake cake, but I was in a rush all day, and my cake was kind of pathetic so we had cupcakes for back up! Emery downed hers in like 4 seconds... sucking her thumb to get all the crumbs. It was hilarious! I'm gonna post the pictures on the next post...,.

Wow its been a long time since my last post..but a lot has happened. Corey and I bought a home! Its a trailer in the Mill Hollow community, and we love it! We are so excited to be finally settling down for a few years instead of moving every 6 months! Pics of the house will come soon...as soon as I get it all put together...haha. Until then here are some pics of Emery...she is 11 months and I cannot believe how she has grown! She has been walkin for a month now and is trying to run! it's so cute cuz her legs get all tangled up and she falls over. She can say "uh-O", "hi" (and says it to everyone passing by in the grocery store or where ever we go...) and "bye", (she looks at the door and waves;) she can also say "baby", "ball", "nigh-nigh" and she says "nummy" and "Mmmm" and smacks her lips when she gets hungry and sees food. Its hilarious...I love this pic, she was so happy right after her bath...with her crazy hair

We are comin home!! 4 more days and we'll be back in Idaho. We have missed it so much, thought we have had an amazing summer here in Modesto. Emery has grown so much and we are excited for our families to see her again. The other day I found her playing with one of her bows in her room...she is starting to look more like a little girl and not a baby anymore...it so sad. It seems like just had her not too long ago! And now she's ready to be hell on wheels! She is 9 1/2 months old and is taking about 3 steps by herself. She has 6 teeth (well almost...the 6th one is coming in right now).Here's what else she's up to:

waive and say "buh bye"
say "dadda"
"momma"
starting to say "uh-oh"
she whispers
walks along furniture and takes a few steps by herself
laughs or smiles when she sneezes
likes books and songs
dances and moves to music or singing
claps her hands (I start to sing "if you're happy and ya know it clap your hands"..and she does!
loves her Baby Einstein dvd
and much much more!!!

She also like to play with her little friend Emrie..Noelle's girl. She copies everything she does and they are so cute playing together! Emrie is starting to like sharing with Em too! Yay :)

So a couple weeks ago Emery and I got to meet her Great Grandpa Reese for the very first time! It was so much fun and he was so cute with her. We also met his lovely wife Dorris. We spent a couple hours visiting with them, and we got to pick yummy oranges from the trees in their backyard! Then we went to see more of Corey's relatives...and Emery met her Great Grandma Garland for the first time too!!! It was a fun day and we were so excited because Corey's mom (Annette), and Jade and Tehya came and we were able to spend the day together! We can't wait to come back home and hang out tonz more!!! My parents came to visit the week before the 4th. We had been living there when Emery was born until we came out here so they were so attached! We were so excited for them to come see how much she has changed....We had lots of fun and kept ourselves busy. We went to Yosemite, San Francisco, and just watched Emerz play....She couldn't get enough of Grandpa's glasses and whiskers... Love her huge smile
Golden Gate Bridge....and by the way my parents and I are never driving in San Fran ever again!! lol! It's craziness
We hiked to the huge trees in Yosemite...there's one that has a tunnel and people used to be able to drive through it!!!

Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz was so beautiful. We went to the coast a while ago because the guys hit a certain number and that was there incentive. They called it their "man-cation". lol They stayed over night and then Noelle and I met them with our girls the next morning to join the fun.

Me and Noelle on the board walk...there were so many little theme park rides and food stands.

Emery got so tired one morning that she fell asleep in her chair while I was doin dishes. It was so cute. I've noticed lately that she hasn't been sucking her thumb during the day at all, only in her crib when she sleeps. She's been a lot crankier too when she's tired. I wonder if that's why.....hmm.

4th of July!

Here are some fun pics from the 4th! We got up and went to the parade here in Modesto...nothin to be too excited about...but we still had fun. Then we had a HUGE bbq by the pool at our apt complex. All the wives made salads and desserts and we had delicious steak and chicken. Mmm Mmm good! After that we headed to the park where we lounged and played kick ball. We finished up the night with some good ole fireworks.. it wasn't any melaleuca production by any means but it was a fun nonetheless. It was just a great day of fun and yumminess!
This was my favorite part of the parade...I love old planes...notice the wounded soldier in the back...I'm so thankful for all the people who have fought and died for our country.

Emerz is on the move!

Many of you know that Emery has been crawling for about a month now....(wow that went fast) so I thought I needed to get caught up on showing you how cute she is! At first she would go up onto her tippy toes like she was gonna do a push up, then she started to scoot herself backwards. From there she went to moving forward with kind of a bear walk/crawl type thing. She has mastered crawling all together, but now she just wants to stand up and walk! I hope she waits to give her mommy some time before I have to chase her all over!!!

It's so hard to keep up! Emery is doing so many new things and we've done so many fun things that its hard to keep you all informed! I'll start a month ago when Noelle and Emrie, Mindi, and Me and Emery went to San Francisco! It was so much fun! The Golden Gate Bridge is so pretty! I can't believe how huge it is!

Modesto Farmer's Market

On Saturday mornings Modesto has a farmers market downtown. A few of the wives decided to go check it out. (Kelly, me, and Noelle) It was pretty small but there were so many yummy things. I got some fresh blueberries, peaches and strawberries! Notice how Noelle's little girl Emrie is trying to share her drink with Em...she is so freakin cute!

A couple weeks ago Emery got her first teeth! She was a little more fussy and slobbery than usual..but all in all she was a good little girl. She is always so happy! I love it! So I don't know what it is...whether Emery is jus so stinkin cute (which she is) or if people, expecially foreigners, aren't used to having babies around, but I have found since we have been here that people everywhere we go find her so fascinating and adorable. I don't think I've gone a day without someone making a comment. The other day we went to Yosemite National Park and a woman from India wanted to hold her and take a picture with her. It felt so wierd and we were by a bridge so I just told her that of course she could take a picture of her but I'll hold her. (You never know what people will do...) So with Emery in my arms the woman posed with us as her daughter and son took pictures...It felt so wierd. What a treasure babies are...each one is rare and so different and special. I guess living in Idaho (where are lots of babies) some might take that for granted. It just made be more greatful and thankful that I have a beautiful, healthy and happy daughter. Her smile is truly contagious. I am so blessed.

This is the first time Emery rolled over...Corey used his phone to get her attention but it worked and then she did it all by herself. It was so fun to watch and i'm so glad Corey got to be there to see it.

Anniversary and more!

So May 19th we had our 2nd year anniversary! Sometimes it feels like we've been married a lot longer than that! We've had many good times, a few bad times, and some great and wonderful memories. I love Corey so much. He is such a wonderful husband. I appreciate everything he does for me and Emery. It is so cute to see him play with Em..she loves hers daddy....and he is such a great dad! Today is also his birthday!! 24..WOW!!! He's still lookin as good as ever! I got him the extended cut, 2 disc version of Taken...he Loves that movie! Love you baby..Happy Birthday!

So the other day I was feedin Emers some squash and she wouldn't stop puttin her hands in her mouth. Then she got tired and started rubbin her face. I got tired of tryin to get her to stop so this is what happened. She got it all over in her hair and gave herself a squash unibrow!!! LOL!

Emery has a new favorite thing in our house...her jumperoo!!! The first time I put her in it she wasn't sure what the heck it was...but she loves it now...it definitely keeps her attention and keeps her occupied when mom needs to get things done!

Emery really likes to scream and yell jus for the heck of it.

We finally got the internet at our apt so I can keep up on my blog! I am so behind so this might be a very Long post. And I'll post lots of pics of Emery for ya fam! We are lovin' Modesto. It is definitely starting to warm up! I don't think I've ever lived in a place with such diversity! Our ward is small, but filled with the most generous, loving people; they are so excited to have so many couples in their ward. There are about 6 couples here with APX and they are the funnest people. While our hubbies are out sellin like crazy all the wives get together and find fun things to do. I couldn't ask for a greater group of girls. I am so blessed.

This was taken at the first APX BBQ of the summer. There are a couple wives missing, Noelle wasn't here yet, and Kelly, who just got married (Congrats by the way!). Starting from the left..Ashley, Kiesha (about 6 months prego), Me & Emery, Breeana (ready to pop any day!) and Mindi.

She is getting to big for her bouncer chair...:(

Before she could sit up well she would fall back on her bobby and do this and just squeal until I came and sat her up again..then 2 seconds later she would do it all over again..silly girl.

She is getting so big! Since we've been here she has started rolling over (belly to back and then back to belley the week after..) and she got her first little tooth in last week! Followed by a second a couple days ago! She had a checkup this morning and got her 6 months shots:( it was sad. We had to wait forever and when they finally came in to give them to her she was falling asleep so we had to wake her up so she could take the first one orally. She cried pretty hard this time when she got her shots but was ok when I picked her up. I always feel so bad for her and I hate when something hurts her. She weighs about 20 lbs and is in the 100% for weight!..and they forgot to give me all the other info so I have to go back tomorrow and get copies...so I'm not sure how tall but I'm guessing around 28 or 29 inches long. She is a big tall girl!!!

HA HA! Her face is hilarious! Her chunky thighs are so big so everytime I get her out of her bumbo chair she gets stuck!

Mom, compare this picture to the one you have of Gunner on the wall....for some reason it reminds me of him:)She is such an angel...This is how she falls asleep..blanket (or my hair) in hand and sucking her left thumb.....so precious.

Conference and Family

On Sunday after conference all of my family got together before Corey and I take off to Cali on Saturday...I love when we all get together like that...I miss so much fun stuff in the summer...that's what I'm most sad about. My family started out with 7 kids (my 6 brothers and myself) and my parents...now there are 6 sister-in-laws and 17 grandkids (Em is the 17th..) and then there are 3-step kids in the mix...that makes the total come to 36!!!! I can't belive how big our family has grown...I love it;)

Emery and her cousin Paisley..they are about 10 months apart...and there is only a 2 lb difference!! Em is 18lbs and Pais is 20lbs....

Paisley loves Emery...it was so cute when she would give her kisses....

Emery is going to be a musical genius! lol she loved playing the piano...a good ear for music runs in her family so we'll see...

We went to Utah a few weekends ago with APX...and Emery got to be outside for the first time since the weather was so stinkin nice!! she loved it and was such a good girl as we walked from the Marriott hotel to the gateway and to temple square...Needless to say it was a blizzard the whole drive home the next day..;(

We ate at Jason's Deli..it was amazing...

On Monday Emery had her 4 month Dr. appointment...Wow she is growing so fast!! She was in the 99% for both height and weight...she is 2 ounces shy of 18 lbs and she is 26.8 inches long!! We are just having so much fun with her. She hasn't started rolling over yet, but she can pretty much sit up by herself for a while... and no complete giggles yet..jus huge smiles with a simpathy laugh every now and then. I swear I make myself look so stupid trying to get her to giggle! It's tiring!
On Sunday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Rasmussen's house to visit...they loved seeing Emers...

Island Park Retreat/New Lap Top!!

So I am really behind on my blog..sorry. I've been using my mom's computer and it is so slow..so I would rather not use it than wait an hour for it to work. Corey just bought a lap top yesterday and I am sooooo lovin it! I've wanted one for like 4 years!! So hopefully I can keep my blog updated...and I have no excuses cuz this lap top is FAST!!

Anyways, last weekend we went to Island Park and rented some nice cabins with a bunch of our APX office. We went snowmobiling... (I actually got to go while Keisha watched Emery for me, YAY!) And had a blast playin games, watchin movies, and watchin the boys leg wrestle, arm wrestle, and play "bear, hunter, hooker" which is the most hilarious thing ever!! The girls joined in on some of the competition too...We have such a competitive office, they are going to rock this summer. The wives and girlfriends are awesome as well....we will have lots of fun this summer.

Zak and Corey are freakishly strong...they stayed neutral the whole time and finally called it a tie cuz their eye's were gonna pop out of their heads! lol!

"It's my blessing day!! I look so pretty. So last Sunday, the 4th, we blessed our sweet little Emery. Corey did such a great job...it was a beautiful blessing. I had a hard time getting her in her car seat with her long beautiful dress...but we made it happen. All morning I stressed out about her havin' a major blow-out right before her big scene...but we lucked out and she was a perfect angel the whole time. What made the event even more entertaining was that right when Corey was holding her up for the congregation to get a look..she decided to twitch and her whole body jumped as Corey had to hold on for dear life! Luckily he had it all under controll...Whew! All 6 of my brothers and their families were able to make it for the occasion along with Corey's fam...it was so awesome to have everyone there supporting us. The Proud Parents!! :)

Soon after the blessing Corey left me for a trip to Cancun! :( I could've joined him, but there was no way that I could leave my baby girl....I would have been depressed the whole time...not too mention taking breaks every couple hours to pump so I could nurse her when I got home. But Corey had fun...and I'm glad...he needed the break.

Baby's first Christmas

Emery's first christmas...6 weeks...She was so excited for Santa she pooped herself right out....!

These are some pictures we took before christmas...we were gonna try to get a christmas card sent out...but as you can see that didn't happen :( o well. Next year we'll be a little more on top of things since I won't be learning how to take care of a new born!! :)

I love this picture. It was christmas eve morning. I went to get her and she had the cutest look on her face.. Now she's in a faze where during nap time she'll grunt and groan and make all these funny noises...so I'll go check on her and she'll be wide awake waiting for me, and as soon as I say somethin to her or pick her up she lights up with the biggest smile! She just wants me to come get her...she's so funny...little rascal knows how to get what she wants already...! We're in trouble!

Emery Christine Green

So I apologize for not updating my blog for a month! Things have been a little hectic in my life since Emery arrived. She is so much fun! She makes me laugh everyday..with her facial expressions and noises. And she is getting so big! She was born November 14, and was 8 lbs 12 oz. Yeah... a little bigger than I wanted for my first baby...(ouch!) But I guess that's over now. She was 20 1/2 inches...and now she is a month old and is well over 10 lbs and is wearing her 3 month clothing already! She is growing like a weed! Being a mom is challenging, but it is so amazing and rewarding. I couldn't imagine my life without this special little addition to our eternal family....
This was after the delivery...I pushed for a straight hour before she decided to come out. I did have an epidural, however, it wore off when I started pushing...so I felt a lot!!! Ouch!! Her oxygen levels were low when she came out..she wasn't screaming or crying like most baby's. It sounded like whimpering or something. Anyways..I saw her and held her for 2 seconds before they took her to the nursery. They said she had sucked a lot of amniotic fluid into her lungs, but a couple hrs later they brought her in to nurse while they monitored her oxygen. She did great...so they gave her a bath.....that got her screamin!!!
She had quite the cone head after delivery..but its normal now..lol!

Proud daddy...(who is totally wrapped around her little finger by the way..) He doesn't have much patience when she cries though! she makes one peep and he hands her off to mommy! lol! He does help out and change a few diapers now and then...

So, I'm 33 three weeks and counting. I have enjoyed every part of being pregnant...well, I take that back. I have enjoyed almost every part of being pregnant...the first 4 months of morning sickness weren't my best days... but I know it will be worth it once she arrives.

Well, be patient with me cuz I'm new at this blogging thing...but I can tell it's going to be a blast!!! Just to get everyone up to date with what our family is up to....My husband and I worked for APX Alarm this summer. He sold security and I worked in the office. We were in Phoenix from May to the end of August, and now I'm back in Idaho living with my parents gettin ready for our baby girl to arrive, while he is still selling in Corpus Christi, Texas. It's been hard being away from him this long...but he is doing well...so it's worth the sacrifice..He should be getting back around the first of October. YAY!! We're not sure exactly what is gonna happen from there. We will probably stay with my parents for a while to save some money..and then we would like to buy a home somewhere in the Rexburg area..He is planning on attending BYU-I for the Summer/Fall semester...so we'll see how that goes!!!
